Akasel's magnetic disc, Aka Magnet, has magnetic properties on one side and adhesive backing on the other. Remove 1/4 of the non adhesive layer on the back of the adhesive, align the adhesive side accurately with the edge of the working aluminum plate, and use your fingers to draw a zigzag shape to compact the magnetic plate while removing the non adhesive layer, to avoid leaving bubbles between the adhesive and the working aluminum plate or not sticking firmly.

The magnetic disk adhered to the working aluminum disk can be understood as physically modifying the aluminum working disk into a magnetic working aluminum disk.
Ensuring the level of the working aluminum and magnetic discs is a prerequisite for all grinding and polishing operations, and can be calibrated using a level gauge or ruler.

Aka RONAN, 3D coated magnetic metal adapter disk
What is 1.1?
As the name suggests, one side has magnetism and the other side is a polymer coating pressed into a 3D structure. The substrate is a hard metal disc that fully meets the grinding and polishing requirements of high edge protection. Used to carry polishing cloth with adhesive backing.

1.2 How to use it?
Take out the magnetic metal adapter plate with Aka RONAN 3D coating from the packaging bag, and then take out the polishing cloth with adhesive backing specified in the sample preparation method. Remove the adhesive backing and non adhesive layer, and accurately align one edge of the adhesive side with the edge of the magnetic metal adapter plate with Aka RONAN 3D coating. While removing the non adhesive layer, use your fingers to draw a zigzag shape to compact the polishing cloth. The unique 3D surface prevents the retention of bubbles and adheres to the polishing cloth.
Place Aka Ronan's fingers opposite each other and align them with the magnetic disk to adhere to it.
The polishing cloth with adhesive backing has become a metallographic polishing cloth with magnetic backing!
2. Aka Rhaco, metal adapter disc with soft abrasive polymer coating
What is 2.1?
Aka Rhaco has magnetic properties on one side and a soft abrasive polymer coating on the other. The substrate is a hard stainless steel sheet, and the rigid metal adapter plate is also designed to meet the requirements of high edge protection grinding and polishing. Used to carry sandpaper without backing and polishing cloth with backing.

2.2 How to use it?
Remove the non adhesive layer from the surface of Aka Rhaco with soft abrasive polymer coating. Use sandpaper or polishing cloth without backing adhesive (without removing the non adhesive layer), with one edge on the back accurately aligned with the edge of Aka Rhaco with soft abrasive polymer coating. Use your fingers to draw a zigzag shape to compact the sandpaper or polishing cloth while descending towards the opposite edge, to avoid the retention of bubbles or poor adhesion.
Place the Aka Rhaco magnetic metal adapter disc opposite the fingers of both hands, align it with the magnetic disc and make it adhere to it.
How's it going? The sandpaper without adhesive turned into metallographic sandpaper with magnetic backing! The polishing cloth with adhesive backing has also been upgraded to a polishing cloth with magnetic backing!
3. Aka Rhaco Flex, a soft adapter disk for polymer containing iron particles
What is 3.1?
Aka Rhaco Flex has magnetic properties on one side and adhesive on the other, and the substrate is a soft polymer containing iron particles. Similar to the magnetic rubber disc of QMAXIS in the United States. The soft magnetic adapter disc does not support the preparation requirements of high edge preservation, but is very suitable for softer manual grinding and polishing. Used to carry sandpaper without backing and polishing cloth with backing.

3.2 How to use it?
The method of pasting sandpaper without adhesive and polishing cloth with adhesive on Aka Rhaco Flex is the same as the treatment of Aka Rhaco metal magnetic adapter disc.
Due to Aka Rhaco Flex being a soft adapter disk, the method of adsorbing it onto a magnetic disk is different from the previous two metal adapter disks. First align one edge of Aka Rhaco Flex with one edge of the magnetic disk, and then gradually descend in the opposite direction. Fingers can be gently pressed onto the surface in the descending order to fully adhere to the magnetic disc.
The above three magnetic adapter discs transform sandpaper without backing and polishing cloth with backing into sandpaper with magnetic backing and polishing cloth, forming a fast disc changing system with the magnetic disc. The efficiency of grinding and polishing has been substantially improved, but the cost of consumables has been significantly reduced.
Aka Renan and Aka Rhaco are both metal adapter discs that are suitable for both automatic and manual polishing. During automatic grinding and polishing, the power head fixture should slightly exceed the surface of the adapter disc, and the metal disc should have sufficient support to allow for a larger area of grinding and polishing. The sample chips can be removed from the surface of sandpaper or polishing cloth with the polishing solution, and the surface effect of sample polishing will be better.
Aka Rhaco Flex is a flexible adapter disc that is more suitable for manual polishing. If automatic mode is used, the power head fixture remains within the edge of the adapter disc.
After a polishing step (program) is completed, not only should the sample be thoroughly cleaned, but also the adapter disk and its supporting sandpaper or polishing cloth should be thoroughly cleaned. The power head should also be removed for cleaning, and the surface of the magnetic disk should also be rinsed. When cleaning sandpaper and polishing cloth, use warm water instead of cold water. When the back area of the adapter disc is heavily contaminated, detergent can be used. After cleaning the back of the adapter disc, dry it with a S-shaped cloth or compressed air, and then place it in a water drain rack.
The adhesion life of the Akasel adapter disc can reach thousands of times. When the sandpaper or polishing cloth needs to be replaced, the entire sandpaper or polishing cloth can be easily torn off by simply removing it from one edge. The adhesive coating of the adapter disc is specially designed for adhesion force and repeated cleaning balance point.
Sandpaper without adhesive backing is about 30% cheaper than sandpaper with adhesive backing; Polishing cloth with adhesive backing is generally about 20% cheaper than polishing cloth with magnetic backing. By using a magnetic adapter disk, the savings over the course of a year are truly amazing.
